🌟Presentation story sparkle

storytelling for speakers

Elevate your presentations with impactful stories that connect with your audience.

You probably already know not to bore the pants off your audience with endless Powerpoint slides stuffed with text and you standing there reading off them. Snooooze!

But even if you’re pared down your slides to have a nice image and just a smidgen of text, if all you’re doing is sharing facts, data and information … you’re not going to be memorable. And neither is your presentation.

Here’s proof👇

Chip Heath, professor at Stanford University, and author of books including Made to Stick, gave his students an exercise:

He divided them into groups of 6-8, and gave them stats on crime patterns in the US. He then got half the students in each group to give a short, 1-minute presentation to the other half.

After everyone presented, the students voted for the best presentation.

Chip then distracted the students by playing a short video (unrelated to the presentation topic).

He then asked them what they remembered from the presentations.

👉 According to Chip, despite hearing only eight 1-min talks …

JUST 10 MINUTES LATER the students could barely recall one or two ideas from each speaker’s presentation.

And many couldn’t even remember a single concept. Nada.

In the average 1-minute speech, most students used 2.5 statistics, while only 1 in 10 told a story.

But get this:

When the students were asked what they remembered from the speeches:

✅ 63% remembered the stories.

😲 But only 5% remembered individual stats.

So, if you’re a vegan leader giving talks, pitching to investors, posting on social media or trying to get a plant-based initiative over the line in your corporate workplace …

❌ Don’t bury your audience in ‘fact-alanches’.

Tell more stories.

If you’re not sure how to find, design and tell the right stories for the right audience in the right way, let me help you add some sparkle to your presentations! ✨

Here’s how it works:

  • You provide me with the presentation you’ve prepared (Powerpoint, audio recording or written script)
  • I review your talk or presentation
  • We get on a 60-min Zoom call and I ask you questions and elicit stories
  • I’ll tweak or create 1-3 short stories you can add to get your audience to sit up, pay attention and say ‘yes’ to your ideas

Investment: $350 AUD (approx £170, $220 USD)
