About Me

Hi, I’m Katrina Fox, personal brand strategist for founders and CEOs of vegan, plant-based and ethical businesses.
My personal brand journey has been one of transformation that’s led me here to be able to help you build an authentic personal brand to achieve your business goals and make an impact in your industry.
❌ It’s NOT about forcing yourself to fit into others’ expectations of who you should be.
❌ It’s NOT about being ‘up yerself’ (Gotta love a fab British expression! 😆)
❌ It’s NOT about throwing on a sequin jacket and disco dancing your way onto a stage – unless that’s you who are. No? Just me? Ok then! ✨
Owning your personal brand is about finding the key messages, expertise and stories that you want to be known for – and having the confidence to put yourself ‘out there’.
The clue is in the ‘you’.
It doesn’t matter how many others there are in your industry doing a similar, or even the same thing. They don’t have your special sauce – the experiences and essence that makes you ‘you’.
MY STORY
Growing up in council flat just outside south-east London, I felt like an outsider. My adoptive mother told me my ‘real’ parents didn’t want me (not true, I found out later) and denigrated my heritage (I’m half-Persian by birth).
Realising I was gay in my early teens in a time and place that wasn’t safe to be ‘out’ didn’t help matters, so I spent most of my childhood through to my early 20s hiding and feeling ashamed of parts of myself.
After discovering a love of acting and dancing, I enrolled in a Performing Arts degree, came out as a lesbian and spent the next few years hanging out with a posse of colourful and unconventional characters who showed me how to live unapologetically as yourself.
In the late-90s, I completed a journalism course and landed my first jobs within the B2B sector, before moving to Sydney, Australia with my wife and opening a vegan and eco hair and beauty salon.
Shortly after, I found my niche working for the LGBTIQ media, editing magazines, and becoming a recognised figure in the space.
The personal brand I created for myself led to speaking engagements and various writing opportunities, including editing two non-fiction anthologies for major global book publishers.
In 2015, I published my book, Vegan Ventures: Start and Grow an Ethical Business, the first book of its kind.
A year later, I launched my podcast, Vegan Business Talk, also the first of its kind and was a Forbes contributor for a year writing about the sector.
Since then, I’ve grown my personal brand as a vegan and plant-based business expert, created an online PR course and ran a membership for vegan women leaders.

I’ve spoken at events worldwide and mastered the art of reinvention, (re)creating a personal brand and getting in front of the right people.
During this time I developed my copywriting, content marketing and PR skills and have worked with major corporate clients, including Microsoft, Google, KPMG and many others through Pinstripe Media agency, as well as vegan, plant-based and other ethical brands.
